Catholics Coming Home.

Posted by: John Coonen

This year, I decided it was time to stop wandering, stop searching for the truth, and let it find me. I finally gave up and gave in. I finally woke up and realized that the Truth was right next to me all along. I don't know whether I converted, because I think I've been Catholic all along; it was just a matter of clearing away all the fog, the noise and the negativity.

While I grew up in multiple protest faiths - Presbyterian, Episcopalian and "non-denominational" - I never felt "home." I never felt at peace. I may have enjoyed the musical entertainment, but never truly connected to our Lord. I finally came home, and I'm so glad to see a new effort by the Catholic Church to reach out again.

Not long ago, the Catholic Church began a new campaign, called "Catholics Come Home." Aimed at bringing once-Catholics back to Jesus, the campaign recently launched with great success in Phoenix, Arizona. It launches in Chicagoland this month.  I'm very happy to see the Catholic Church evangelizing. It couldn't come at a better time to restore true hope for people worldwide.

Here's their first ad. Warning: have tissues nearby...Catholic or not, you'll love it.
