Could God be using Trump – or any of us, for that matter– as a modern-day Saint Paul? We are all called by God to see the light. A friend of mine recently said, “Sometimes, God chooses wicked people to do good things.” I agree, and would ask “sometimes?” Perhaps, all the time.

If someone asks you what President Trump has done for this country while in office, show them this (as of March 9, 2020):
- Trump recently signed 3 bills to benefit Native people. One gives compensation to the Spokane tribe for loss of their lands in the mid-1900s, one funds Native language programs, and the third gives federal recognition to the Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa Indians in Montana.
- This month Trump finalized the creation of Space Force as our 6th Military branch.
- This month Trump signed a law to make cruelty to animals a federal felony so that animal abusers face tougher consequences.
- Violent crime has fallen every year he’s been in office after rising during the 2 years before he was elected.
Sometimes, you need an innovator to show you what you didn't know you were missing.
Innovation and disruption of the big auto's outdated ways has been the Tesla trajectory since Elon Musk founded the company back in 2003. Yes, it's been almost 15 years, can you believe it? Last week, Elon Musk showed why he's the most feared car salesman on earth. On Thursday, Elon Musk conducted what will go down in history as the largest crowdfunding campaign ever, with servers at full capacity, taking in $1,000 at a time, with total sales commitments in excess of $12 Billion (and the tally board is still clicking).
It's Good Friday, and today my wife and I prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3:00 PM. It's the first time I've prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet, so I thought I'd take some time to post an article on it, for some background, along with a reprint of the prayer itself to share with you. The background information on this comes from EWTN and The Divine Mercy website.
Devotion to Michael the Archangel is one of the oldest devotions of the Church; indeed, his roles in God's divine plan date back before the Incarnation. It was St. Michael who led God's army against Lucifer and the other rebellious fallen angels, St. Michael who guards the Catholic Church and her pope, and St. Michael who, at God's commands will reprise his role against the Antichrist in the End Times.
Today is Ash Wednesday, and I thought I'd "give up" something new this year for Lent. Instead of intending to finally write something here on Citisun about faith, I'd actually commit to it, in a very visible way. So the commitment I decided to make is to create 40 articles about my faith, over the 46 days of Lent.
I have a personal favor to ask you. I’m feeling a little blue today about the recent loss of my dad. It was last December 16th, 2013, but some days it still seems like yesterday to me. So, would you please say a prayer for the soul of my dad? His name is Garey Coonen. He really was (and is) an amazing person!
